Two Words: Thank You
4-9-2003 As I see people celebrating Iraqi freedom so much, I am reminded of the lives that were lost in the fight for that freedom. It's so easy not to think about the death, the loss, the fact that soldiers - and others - are gone forever. Each and every one of those people had a life... and life is such a valuable thing. I guess it's so valuable because it's someone's chance to live. Perhaps I'm rambling, but it's hard for me to put all that I think and feel into words. To those who give their lives for Iraqi freedom in this second Gulf War, Thank You

... both the dead and those
they leave behind know the meaning of sacrifice, the price of freedom,
and what a wonderful thing it is that one life can improve the world.
